Got a no-seatbelt ticket on the way to the office today. I blame Marco. That son of a bitch.

We have some good news, and some bad news, people. The good news? It looks as if MGM, despite their recent wave of economic turmoil (which resulted in the scrapping of the upcoming Bond flick), are moving forward with a film-adaptation of the popular 50's television program The Outer Limits. The bad news? The studio signed screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan - writers of four of the currently-released seven Saw films - to write the script. Luckily, the original producer Mark Victor is on board to help oversee the project. |

In "shocking" news, a new aggregate of all the various unemployment polls out there show that America's unemployment rate has jumped from 9.6 percent for the month of July - up .1 percentage from the month before. Not surprisingly, the loss of the government census jobs is negatively affecting the results. According to the article written by BusinessInsider, the Census Bureau let go approximately 144,000 temporary jobs - and they still have about 200,000 still on board as temporary workers. Not looking so good for the private sector. Honestly, government jobs (especially temporary positions) should be excluded from unemployment figures. Damn spin doctors. |
